Overview:

All rates for CL2 CC are paid by the Prinicipal Investigator (PI). Rates are divided into fixed costs (membership fees) and variable costs (user fees). All revenues from the fees are used to maintain and operate the facility.

Membership Fee (Principal Investigators):

• Cost: $500
• Duration of Use: Date of Payment to April 30th of the fiscal year. In other words, if a PI's membership is approved on December 1st, 2023: they can use it from December 1st, 2023 to April 30th 2024 and must then renew.
  • Note: This fee is fixed regardless of the date the PI joins. If a new PI wants to use DB440 from January 2024 to January 2025: They would be required to pay $500 in January 2024 and again on May 1st, 2024. The payment renewal deadline is May 1st of the fiscal year.

User Fee (Laboratory Personnel):

• This fee is paid by the PI on behalf of their laboratory personnel
• Cost for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or staff: $25 per person/month. This fee is charged quarterly (every 3 months.)
• Cost for undergraduate trainees:
  • Fall & Winter Terms: $10/student during the term
  • Summer Term: $25/student per month
